BRIDGE MALL REDEVELOPMENT, BAKERY HILL – BALLARAT

Project Overview
Starbuck Excavation delivered civil and landscape works as part of the redevelopment of Bridge Mall in Bakery Hill, Ballarat. The project involved bulk material removal and site preparation to support the transformation of a key public and commercial precinct.

Works were carried out within an active urban environment, requiring careful coordination to maintain programme timelines while minimising disruption to surrounding businesses and pedestrian movement.

Scope of Works

  • Bulk excavation and site preparation for civil and landscape works 
  • Removal and off-site disposal of excavated material, including contaminated material 
  • Supply, placement, and compaction of quarry products to meet pavement design (crushed rock, cement-treated crushed rock) 
  • Operation of plant and equipment within a constrained urban environment 
  • Coordination with the principal contractor and site teams to maintain programme sequencing
